RESOLUTION NO. 330

WHEhEAS, a group of Wheat ~idge citi=ens hove proposed
the creation of a ~heat ~idge Historical Society; ~nd
WHtJiEA3, the purposes and objectivE'S of the 'lOI i'?t\; will
lead to the betterment of the Wheat ~idge community; and
WHEREAS, the Society will bring t,'gether penple int~rested
in history, particularly the early history of the city of Wheat ~idge;

WHEREAS, thE' Society will work for the preservation and re-
tention of historical documents, objects, artifacts Bnd structures
relating to the City; and
WHEREAS, the Society will disseminate information pertillent
to the history of Wheat Ridg~ and will work to promote public under-
standing Bnd supoort of Historical Society activitieo;

DORSEY, ELWYN KIPLINGER, NAOMI K. OLSON and JOY CLAPP are publicly
acknowledged and commended for their efforts in organizing the Wheat
Ridge Historical Society, and the City Council does hereby endorse
and encourage the establishment of this worthy organization.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 15th day of August, A, D., 1974,
by a vote of 6 to 0
