RESOLUTION NO. 367
Series of 1975
TITLE: A RESOLUTION HONORING MICHAEL SIPES, A TEACHER AT EVERITT JUNIOR
HIGH SCHOOL, WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS
SELECTION AS TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR THE STATE OF COLORADO.
WHEREAS, MICHAEL SIPES has been selected as Teacher of the Year
for the State of Colorado; and
WHEREAS, this designation brings great honor and recognition to
Everitt Junior High School where he has taught, the Jefferson County
R-1 School District, the community of Wheat Ridge, and himself; and
WHEREAS, the activities and accomplishments of this outstanding
teacher have contributed considerably to the betterment of the youth of
this community and to his profession; and
WHEREAS, MICHAEL SIPES is one of four finalists under considera-
tion for the National Teacher of the Year award which is a further
recognition of his achievements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Wheat Ridge on behalf of this community hereby congratulates
MICHAEL SIPES
on this noteworthy occasion and extends its warmest best wishes for his
continued success in the teaching profession.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 30th day of January, A.D. 1975, by a
vote of 6 to 0
