RESOLUTION NO. 371

TITLE: RESOLUTION EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO THE CONVERSION OF
~IPLING STREET AS A LIMITED ACCESS FREEWAY
WHEREAS, this City Council has previously unanimously opposed
by Resolution No. 208, Series of 1973, any realignment of ~ipling
Street or its conversion to a limited access freeway; and
WHEREAS, this matter became a subject of recent discussion
during the consideration of a change in the Major Thoroughfare Plan
by the Denver Regional Council of Governments; and
WHEREAS, there has been strong citizen opposition to any
substantial change in the present configuration or use of ~ipling
Street through the City of Wheat Ridge;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that it strongly opposes any conversion of ~ipling
Street to a limited access freeway or to its realignment from its
present location in any form;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the desire of this City
Council that ~ipling Street remain in substantially the same type of
thoroughfare as it is at the present time; and that this Council
HEREBY RESOLVES to oppose any actions contrary to this resolution
in all ways at its disposal.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 13th day of February, A.D. 1975, by
