TITLE: RESOLUTION CHANGING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
FROM THURSDAY NIGHT TO MONDAY NIGHT COMMENCING JUNE 2, 1975
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that regular Thursday
night City Council meetings do not provide sufficient advance time for
the preparation and study of agenda items by Council members and the
public; and
WHEREAS, regular Monday night meetings would allow the full
weekend for review of Council agenda items and would provide addi-
tional time for field visits, discussions, special meetings, or other
necessary actions needed by the Council members; and
WHEREAS, regular Thursday night meetings result in occasional
conflicts with school meetings, meetings of the Colorado Municipal
League, and other groups frequently requiring the presence of Council
members;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Wheat Ridge that regular City Council meetings be changed from Thurs-
day night to Monday night beginning at the hour of 7:30 p.m., unless
another starting hour is determined by Council; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this change shall commence Monday,
June 2, 1975, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to officially notify
all City boards, commissions, committees, and other interested groups
immediately so that adequate advance planning can be accomplished on the
part of all concerned;
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Council chambers be reserved on
Thursday nights for meetings of the Planning Com~ission and Board of
Adjustment, both of which groups are hereby requested to change their
meeting dates to Thursday nights in order to allow for a full and
orderly utilization and scheduling of the Council chambers.
