HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1975-0404 INTRODUCED BY ALDERMAN Hulsey RESOLUTION NO. 404 Series of 1975 WHEREAS, THEODORE (TED) ERICKSON has retired after forty (40) years of service with the United States Post Office Department; and W,EREAS, the Wheat Ridge Post Office has grown under his supervision from an original staff of five employees to a current staff of fifty-five employees efficiently serving a community of over 36,000 persons; and WYEREAS, TED ERICKSON is a native of Wheat Ridge, farmed in this community, and has participated in its development from a rural area to a modern City; and WHEREAS, he is a charter member of the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce and is one of the original nine members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber; and WHEREAS, he has served this community in many other ways, including membership on the Wheat Ridge Transportation Committee and as Co-Chairman of the City's Centennial-Bicentennial Commission, and was selected as the Count of the 1973 Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge hereby congratulates THEODORE (TED) ERICKSON on his dedicated service to this community as Wheat Ridge Postmaster and publicly commends him for his many other contributions to the better- ment of Wheat Ridge; and extends sincere wishes for a long and happy retirement.
