HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1976-0485 INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN LOUISE TURNER RESOLUTION NO. 485 Series of 1976 TITLE: RESOLUTION COMMENDING RALPH JOHNSON FOR HIS LONG AND VALUABLE SERVICE TO THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE AS CITY ENGINEER WHEREAS, Ralph Johnson has served the City of Wheat Ridge in the capacity of City Engineer since the incorporation of the City in August 1969; and WHEREAS, he devoted many hours of work during the early days of the City's existence without compensation in order to assist with the establishment of municipal programs and services, and to provide engineering advice as needed; and WHEREAS, his services have been rendered in a faithful, dili- gent, and professional manner and have contributed greatly to the progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson's employment will end on December 31, 1975; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge that RALPH JOHNSON be hereby commended for his past efforts on behalf of the City; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of the community of Wheat Ridge hereby expresses sincere thanks and appre- ciation and extends warmest wishes to him for the future. HOWARD ( JO CAVARRA rn~~citt1~N~ L6uISE" ~ .'--tU'RNER Mr. Howard declined to sign Resolution 485 0<h 1-11-77 INTRODUCED-BY CO~NCILMAN ~l::RI-;L RESOLUTION NO. 425 Series of 1977 TITLE: RESOLUTION COMMENDING ALL CITY EMPLOYEES FO~ THEIR RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENT DURING 1976 WHEREAS, the City has experien=eo an cutstandin~ YEar during 1976 in accomplishing many ~GrthwhilE projects for the bettermen; or the community and its citizenR; and WHEREAS, some of these projects include over nine (9) miles of street resurfacing, the completion of the Sod House and Historic Park; substantial development of Praspect Park; the upgrading of the Police patrol fleet and Police operations; the com~letion ofa D~W City Comprehensive Plan; the adoption of a Revised Sign Code; the securing of 100% Federal funds fOT a new City Hall; the commencemenT. of a major pathway and bridge renovation project on W. 32nd Avenue; and the construction of tennis courts and other recreational facilities; and WHEREAS, all of these projects have been accomplished on schedule; and, despite these expenditures, the City has ended the year in the strongest financial position in its history; end WHEREAS, the City Council desires to publicly aCKn8wiedge Slid congratulate the staff on its individual and collective eFforts Linioh have helped make these achievements possible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge that all emoloyees of the City be hereby co~mended for their diligent and conscientious efforts on behelf OF the City; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of all citizens of the com~unity extend to each and every employee sins era wishes for a happy and successful New Year.
