RESOLUTION NO. 529
SERIES OF 1977
TITLE: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF
COLORADO, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, TO PROVIDE MAIN-
TENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado for the Department of
Highways, Division of Highways, does desire to contract with
the City of Wheat Ridge, to provide necessary equipment and
manpower to install, operate, maintain and control traffic
control devices located within the City of Wheat Ridge, which
however, are located on and within the state highway system;
and
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado is willing to contract
with the City of Wheat Ridge to have such services and manpower
furnished for consideration described in Exhibits A & B attached
to this Resolution, however, not to exceed a total sum of
$25,312.80 during the contract term; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge does have adequate
facilities to operate and maintain such traffic control devices
in behalf of the State of Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Wheat Ridge
does hereby agree to enter into a contract with the State of
Colorado, Department of Highways, Division of Hi~hways, and does
further agree to provide the services and manpower described in
Exhibit A attached to this Resolution.
The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge are
hereby authorized to execute the contract, Exhibit A, in behalf
of the City of Wheat Ridge, and to submit the same to the State
of Colorado, Department of Highways, Division of Highways.

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to invest funds of the
City General Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Treasurer
be authorized to purchase a $300,000.00 (Three Hundred Thousand
and No/IOO) Certificate of Deposit at Lakeside National Bank
to bear interest at the rate of 6.38%
per annum for a period of 181 days.
