Series of 1977
TITLE: RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY BUDGET AND ESTABLISHING A MILL LEVY
FOR THE PURPOSE OF DERIVING PROPERTY TAX REVENUES TO THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1978.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge Annual Budget for the fiscal year
1978 has been established and Public Hearings and Meetings have been held
on August 29, 1977, October 3, 1977, and October 10, 1977, after duly
published public notices; and
WHEREAS, the Budget provides for Revenues and Operating and Capital
Expenditures in the total amount of $5,708,973, which includes $3,776,329
in the General Fund, $1,761,000 in the Capital Improvements Fund, $157,819
in the Revenue Sharing Fund, and $13,825 in other Special Funds; and
WHEREAS, $382,442 of the General Fund Budget is estimated to be
derived from ad valorem property taxes and the balance derived from other
estimated revenue sources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The City of Wheat Ridge total Budget as stated in this Resolu-
tion be hereby approved and adopted for the fiscal period beginning
January 1, 1978, and ending December 31, 1978.
2. The property tax mill levy for General Fund operating and capital
purposes is hereby established at 3.50 mills and assessed against all real
property located within the City of Wheat Ridge for property taxes to be
collected in 1978 for the valuation year 1977.
