TILLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE HART
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 27th Ave. & Benton St. IN WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, FROM LHE WHEAT RIDGE ALLOCATION OF COUNTY OPEN SPACE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council of lJheat Ridge previously authorized the
purchase of the Hart property located at W. 27th Ave. & Benton St., in Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, consisting of approximately 3.45 acres, plus improvements,
by means of Resolution No. 510, Series of 1977, and Resolution No. 400, Series
of 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater no longer desires to participate in the
cost of such property as originally contemplated; and
WHEREAS, the City of ,fheat Ridge desires to acquire this property
solely from the vJheat Ridge allocation of County Open Space funds; and
WHEREAS, this property has been acquired by means of a purchase con-
tract executed Monday, September 12, 1977, for a total cost of $200,000; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 510, Series of 1977, of the City of Wheat
Ridge previously authorized reimbursement to the County Open Space fund for
the value of the two-family residential structure located on the property
which is not eligible for acquisition under the County Open Space fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
lfheat Ridge that the acquisition cost of the Hart property located at W. 27th
Ave. and Benton St. be paid entirely from the Wheat Ridge allocation of County
Open Space funds in the amount not to exceed $200,000 without any financial
participation by the City of Edgewater;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reimbursement of the amount of $9,266 to
the County Open Space fund representing the appraised value of the non-eligible
two-family structure located on the property be hereby reaffirmed and paid
solely from City funds;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be
transmitted by the City Clerk to the Open Space Director of Jefferson County.
