TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF OPEN SPACE PROPERTY
IN WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Wheat Ridge, upon the recommendation of
its Parks and Recreation Commission, has previously authorized the appraisal
of the following parcels for Parks and Open Space purposes, to-wit:
(a) Parcel at Independence Court/Clear Creek, zoned
R-l, A-I, owned by }linnie B. Van Hooser;
(b) Parcel at Garland/Clear Creek, zoned R-2, owned
by the First National Bank of Denver; and
(c) Parcel at Clear Creek, NE of 44th Ave. Bridge,
zoned R-3, owned by Kenneth L. and Irene Bowser; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the properties have agreed to respective
sales prices, and these prices are in accordance with professional appraisals
and are acceptable to the City as listed herein:
(a) $21,939;
(b) $ 5,500; and
(c) $27,163;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
lfueat Ridge that the purchase of the above described properties be hereby
authorized from County Open Space funds at a total price not to exceed
$54,602;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is hereby authorized
and directed to proceed immediately to conclude this purchase under the
terms and conditions indicated in this Resolution;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to
forward certified copies of this Resolution to the Jefferson County Open
Space Director and to the Jefferson County Open Space Committee.
