TITLE: RESOLUTION RE: APPLICATION TO RTD FOR ASSISTANCE AND FUNDING
OF BUS TURNOUTS AND AMENITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has extreme interest in providing
support facilities such as turnout lanes, safe waiting facilities, and
improved riding surfaces for buses;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED That the City should immediately submit
the applications prepared by the City staff and approved by the Mass Transit
Committee for RTD assistance and one hundred percent (100%) funding of
those support facilities designed for:
(1) The City Hall on Wadsworth Blv~ at W. 29th Avenue;
(2) The Activity Center (Time Square) on Wadsworth Blvd.
at approximately W. 41st Ave.;
(3) The southwest corner of Kipling and W. 38th Ave.;
(4) The general street pavement utilized by buses along
W. 38th Ave. between Sheridan and Wadsworth Blvds.,
specific improvements to be identified and submitted
to the RTD (Regional Transportation District).
