TITLE: RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE COlfMITTEE TO
SECURE A QUALIFIED APPRAISAL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT WEST 44TH
AND MILLER STREET PROPOSED FOR POSSIBLE ACQUISITION UNDER THE OPEN
SPACE PROGRAM FOR PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PURPOSES AND TO PURCHASE SUCH
PROPERTY SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
\ffiEREAS, the property located at 10261 \.Jest 44th Avenue (Hest Lf4th
and Miller Street), otherwise known as Lot 1 44th Street Village Subdivision,
is identified on the City's Parks and Open Space Plan for park purposes, and
WHEREAS, this property has been offered for sale to the City by the
Godwin Bevers Land, Inc., and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Hheat Ridge has expressed interest in
negotiating for the purchase of this property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Hheat Ridge that the Jefferson County Open Space Committee is hereby requested
to obtain a qualified professional appraisal to determine the value of this
parcel consisting of approximately seven (7) acres as soon as possible; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby authorizes the purchase of
this property subject to the City's review and approval of the appraisal report
and purchase price; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to send
a copy of this resolution to all members of the Jefferson County Open Space
Committee and the Open Space Director.
