TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE TO ACQUIRE THE
GUm INK PROPERTY LOCATED AT W. 38TH AND QUA I L STREET FROM THE C I TV I S
ATTRIBUTABLE SHARE OF COUNTY OPEN SPACE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the tract of land consistinq of 6.45 acres of land located
at W. 38th Avenue and Quail Street, Wheat Ridqe, Colorado has been offered
for sale to the City, and
WHEREAS, this property is identified on the City's Adopted Parks and
Open Space Plan for future park or open space purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended the
acquisition of this parcel for Parks and Open Space purposes, and
WHEREAS, an appraisal of value has been secured by Jefferson County
Open Space.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge that the Guerink property consisting of 6.45 acres located at
W. 38th and Quail Street be acquired for parks, recreation or open space
purposes by the Jefferson County Open Space Program from the City's attributable
share of County Open Space Funds and that such acquisition be accomplished at
the fair market value to be determined by Jefferson County. subject to final
approval by the City as to price.
