RESOLUTION NO. 569
Series of 1978
TITLE; RESOLUTION ADOPTING CHAPTER V, COUNCIL PROCEDURE AND LEGISLATION,
AND CHAPTER VII, PERSONNEL, OF THE WHEAT RIDGE CITY CHARTER AND
PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF CHAPTERS V AND VII IN THEIR
ENTIRETY EFFECTIVE MARCH 21, 1978.
WHEREAS, the citizens of Wheat Ridge have approved and adopted a
Home Rule City Chapter; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.3 specifies that the various provisions of the
Charter must be placed into effect by Resolution of the City Council, and
that effective dates must be indicated in the Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Council has developed and established policies and
procedures relating to the implementation of Chapters V and VII;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, that Chapter V, of the City Charter, Council Procedure and
Legislation, and Chapter VII, of the City Charter, Personnel, are hereby
placed in full force and effect in its entirety beginning March 21, 1978;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the policies and procedures relating
to the implementation of Chapters V and VII shall be set forth in the
Council Rules and/or established by Council motion as the Council may
from time to time determine.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all Ordinances introduced on a date
previous to March 21, 1978, shall continue to be processed according to
prior Council procedures.
