TITLE: RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY BUDGET AND ESTABLISH A MILL
LEVY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DERIVING PROPERTY TAX REVENUES
TO THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge Annual Budget for the
fiscal year 1980 has been established and Public Hearings and
Meetings have been held on June 11, 1979, June 25, 1979, September
13, 1979, September 20, 1979, September 24, 1979, and October 8,
1979, after duly published public notices; and
WHEREAS, the Budget provides for revenues and operating
and capital expenditures in the total amount of $8,713,000, which
includes $5,459,631 in the General Fund, $2,930,252 in the Sales
Tax Improvements fund, $301,131 in the General Revenue Sharing
Fund, and $21,986 in Other Special Funds; and
WHEREAS, $412,000 of the General Fund Budget is estimated
to be derived from ad valorem property taxes and the balance de-
rived from other estimated revenue sources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The City of Wheat Ridge total Budget as stated in this
Resolution be hereby approved and adopted for the fiscal period
beginning January 1, 1980, and ending December 31, 1980.
2. The property tax mill levy for General Fund operating
purposes is hereby established at 3.50 mills and assessed against
all real property located within the City of Wheat Ridge for
property taxes to be collected in 1980 for the valuation year 1979.
