TITLE: RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO lffiKE RECOMM.ENDATIONS
AS TO DEVELOPMENT/RESTORATION AND FUTURE USE OF RICHARDS
MANSION
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge purchased the Hart Estate
in 1977 for the purpose of Open Space and for preservation of the
historic significance of the house and grounds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recently toured the Hart Estate
and discussed the need to prepare a plan for future development
and/or restoration of the Richards Mansion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that there is hereby estab-
lished a Richards Mansion Task Force to make recowmendations and
provide cost estimates to the City Council as to development/restor-
ation and future use of this historic property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall make appointments
to this task force of persons who are interested in developing a
plan for the Hart Estate. Work of the task force should be completed
within six months and a report presented to City Council for their
action.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City move forward immediately
on the development of the park portion of the property.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 27th day of July, 1981.
