HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1982-0764 RESOLUTION 00. 764 Series of 1982 TITLE: HESOLUTION REFERRII~G TO TilE HEGISTERED ELECTOHS 'JF THE CITY OF WHEAT HIDGE THE QUESTION OF THE PHOPOSED REPEAL Of ORDINANCE 405, ENACTED JUNE 9, 1960, PRUVIDING FOR REZONING FROM AGRICULTURAL T~O (A-2) AND RESTRICTED COHHERCIAL (R-C) TO CUHI'1ERCIAL ONE (C-l) FOR LAND LOC~TED AT APPROXIM~TELY SOUTHEAST CORNER OF WEST 44TH AVENUE AND XENON SrRE~T, CITY OF dHEAT RIDGE, COUNTY OF JEFFERSON, ST~TE Of COLORADO. ~H~REAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, did, on June 9, 1930, enact Ordinance 405 providing for the approval of rezoning from Agricultural Two (A-2) and Restricted Commercial (R-C) to Commercial One (C-1) for land located at approximately southeast corner of West 44th Avenue and Xenon Street, City of Wheat Ridge, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, and WHER~AS, pursuant to Section 6.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Wheat Ridge, petitions bearing signatures of registered electors equal in amount to at least ten (10) percent of the total vote cast in the City of Wheat Ridge in the last gubernatorial election have been presented to the City Council against the going into effect of said Ordinance 405, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined not to repeal said Ordinance 405, but has determined to submit said question to the electorate of the City of Wheat Ridge; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows: 1. In the event the result of the herein called election is in favor of repeal, said Ordinance 405 shall be repealed effective June 23 1932.
