SERIES OF 1982
TITLE:
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE ISSUANCE OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
REVENUE BONDS BY JEFFERSON COUNTY, COLORADO
WHEREAS, representatives of Lutheran Medical Center, a Colorado
nonprofit corporation (the "Hospital"), have met with officials of
Jefferson County, Colorado (the "County") and have advised the County
of the Hospital's interest in constructing, improving and equipping an
ambulatory service unit (the "Project"), subject to the willingness of
the County to finance the Project through the issuance of its industrial
development revenue bonds in accordance with the provisions of the County
and Municipality Development Revenue Bond Act, Article 3, Title 29 of
C.R.S. 1973, as amended (the "Act"); and
WHEREAS, the Hospital has represented that the Project will be
located within the corporate boundaries of the City of Wheat Ridge,
Colorado (the "City"); and
WHEREAS, the City considers that the Project, if located within
the corporate boundaries of the City, will assist the City and the
County in providing more adequate hospital care and has concluded that
the benefits to the City will be substantial;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO:
Section 1. That in order to provide more adequate hospital
care, the City recommends that the County proceed with the lssuance
of its industrial development revenue bonds to finance the Project,
and hereby delegates to the County the City's power to issue such
bonds, pursuant to Section 29-3-104 of the Act.
Section 2. That this Resolution, as adopted by the City Council
shall be numbered and recorded in the official records of the City.
This adoption and approval shall be authenticated by the signatures
of the Mayor, or the Mayor Pro Tem, and the City Clerk.
