TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT ENTITLED "AGREEMENT REGARDING THE DESIGN AND INSTAL-
LATION OF A FLOOD DETECTION NETWORK FOR LENA GULCH"
WHEREAS, Lakewood, Jefferson County, Consolidated Mutual Water
Company, and Wheat Ridge, wish to cooperate in providing an early
flood warning system for Lena Gulch; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be ln the best interest of the
entities to provide for this system on a cooperative basis; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Wheat
Ridge to enter into this Intergovernmental Agreement which lS
attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the City
of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of Wheat Ridge by Resolution to
enter into Intergovernmental Agreements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that the Intergovernmental Agreement entitled
"Agreement Regarding the Design and Installation of a Flood Detection
Network for Lena Gulch", attached to this Resolution, be approved,
and the Mayor be authorized to sign said Intergovernmental Agreement.
