TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN
SPACE OFFICIALS TO SECURE PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL
ON THE ROCK/GILLHOUSE PROPERTY, WHICH BORDERS THE
NORTH BANK OF CLEAR CREEK JUST EAST OF TABOR
STREET, AND ADJACENT AND WEST OF PROSPECT PARK.
WHEREAS, the Rock/Gillhouse property located at
approximately 4180 and 4200 Tabor Street, in Wheat Ridge,
consisting of 6.2 acres more or less, has been offered for
sale to the City of Wheat Ridge by the owner, and
WHEREAS, this property is located adjacent to Prospect
Park and would be useful to the City for expansion of parks
and open space facilities in this location, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to investigate the value of
this property under the Jefferson County Open Space program;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Wheat Ridge, that the Jefferson County Open
Space officials be hereby authorized and requested to secure
a professional appraisal on the Rock/Gillhouse property as
referenced in this Resolution, to determine its fair market
value in water, aggregate, and land values, the land to be
appraised as raw land and also in a mined condition.
DONE AND RESOLVED on this 21st day of. March
1983.
