TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WIlEAT RIDGE TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERm1ENTAL AGREE!>lENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF JEFFERSON IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR THE
PERFOR~lANCE OF CERTAIN DUTIES BY THE COUNTY CLERK.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge and the County of
Jefferson have a conunon interest in the conduct of ~lunicipal
elections, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of
Wheat Ridge to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement
which is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of
the City of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of vllieat Ridge,
by Resolution, to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED hy the City Council
of the City of vllieat Ridge that the Intergovernmental
Agreement attached to this Resolution he approved, and the
Mayor be authorized to sign said Intergovernmental
Agreement.
