TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
BY THE WHEAT RIDGE FESTIVAL, INC., TO POST SIGNS
EXEMPT FROM REGULATION ADVERTISING THE WHEAT RIDGE
FESTIVAL.
vJHEREAS, the ~'1hea t Ridge Fes ti val, Inc., a Colorado not for prof i t
corporation, being a civic organization, intends to hold
the Wheat Ridge Festival, whose theme shall be "Friendship
Fair" on August 18, 19, and 20, 1983;
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Festival, being a citywide civic
event, may be advertised by signs which are exempted from
permit requirements under Section 19A-ll(.02l of the Code of
Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, to aid in
promoting the citywide civic activities sponsored by the said
Wheat Ridge Festival, Inc., wishes to authorize use by the
Wheat Ridge Festival, Inc., of the public right-of-way for
the purpose of erecting those signs announcing the time and place
of the Wheat Ridge Festival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Wheat Ridge that authority is hereby granted to the Wheat
Ridge Festival, Inc., to erect those signs exempt under
Section 19A-ll(.02) of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat
Ridge for the purpose of announcing the Wheat Ridge Festival,
Inc., Friendship Fair August 18, 19, and 20, 1983, provided that
all requirements of Chapter 19A of the Code of Laws of the City
of Wheat Ridge otherwise applicable to said signs are complied
with, and further provided that said signs are removed from the
public right-of-way no later than August 27, 1983.
