TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE TO
ENTER INTO AlJ INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF JEFFERSON IN ORDER TO PROVIDL FOR THE
PERFomlANCE OF CERTAIN DUTIES BY THE COUNTY CLEI1.K.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge and the County of
Jefferson have a common interest in the conduct of Municipal
elections, ancl
vVllEREAS, it lS in the best interest of the City of
Wheat Ridge to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement
which is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of
the City of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of Wheat Ridge,
by Resolution, to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements.
NOh', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge that the Intergovernmental
Agreement attached to this Resolution be approved, and the
Mayor be authorized to sign said Intergovernmental
Agreement.
