RESOLUTION NO. 874

TITLE: A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT TO
PROVIDE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WATER DELIVERY SYSTEM WITHIN
THE SOUTHEAST WHEAT RIDGE WATER ASSOCIATION, AND AUTHO-
RIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City, the Wheat Ridge Water and Sanitation
District, the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District, all municipal
or quasi-municipal corporations, and the Southeast Wheat Ridge
Water Association, have agreed to enter into an arrangement
whereby improved water delivery services and additional fire
hydrants may be installed within the area presently served by
the Southeast Wheat Ridge Water Association;
WHEREAS, the parties wish to set forth in agreement form
all aspects of their understandings and obligations;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Wheat
Ridge and its citizens to enter into the Intergovernmental
Agreement which is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the City
of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of Wheat Ridge, by Resolution,
to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that the Intergovernmental Agreement attached
to this Resolution be approved, and the Mayor be authorized to
sign said Intergovernmental Agreement.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 19th day of December, 1983.
