RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INT8RGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE
DEPARTMENT Of LOCAL AFFAIRS AND THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT TO PROVIDE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WATER Dt:LIVt:RY
SYSTEM WITHIN THE SOUTHEAST WHEAT RIDGE WATER ASSOCIATION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.

\'mEl<~AS, the City of Wheat Ridge on behalf of the Southeast
Distr ict was avvarded $250,000 in Communi ty Development 8lock
funds from 1984 "Small Cities" CDI3G funds for i:nprovements 1<1 the
system of the Southeast Wheat Ridge Water Association; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is
Intergovernmental Agreement with Wheat Ridge
Ridge Fire Protection District, Southeast
Association, and the Denver Water Board; and
party to a certain
Water District, \^lheat
Wheat Ridge Water
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to provide admInistrative
services for the purpose of providing for the health, safety, and
welfare of the residents of the City of Wheat Hidge residing within
the area served by the Southeast Wheat Hidge Water Association; and
WHEl<EAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of
Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of Wheat Ridge, by Resolution, to enter
into intergovernmental agreements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'rHE CITY
OF ,'JHEAT RIDGE, that the Contract by and between the City of Wheat
Ridge and the State of Colorado Department of Local Affairs, is hereby
approved, and the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to sign said
Agreement.
