TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE
TO PURCHASE THE SOUTHERN THIPTY FEET OF THE
BROWN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4221 JELLISON STREET
IN WHEAT RIDGE.
WHEREAS, the Brown Property is located in an area of
Wheat Ridge where the Parks and Open Space Plan recommends that
additional land be acquired; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the Brown property is
undertaken and executed in furtherance of the public health and
welfare; and
WHEREAS, the Brown property, consisting of 0.122
acres more or less, has been offered for sale by the owner; and
WHEREAS, an appraisal for the acquisition of the
Brown property has been authorized and requested to secure a
professional appraisal on the Brown property to determine its
fair market value by Resolution No. 930; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is desirous of
acquiring a portion of the Brown property for Park and Open Space
purposes; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge that the City Attorney be authorized
to negotiate for purchase of the southern thirty feet of the
Brown parcel, located at 4221 Jellison Street in Wheat Ridge,
Colorado.
