TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT ENTITLED REQUEST
FOR PAY~lliNT AND CERTIFICATION OF USE OF FUNDS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING LOT AT THE
WHEAT RIDGE SENIOR CENTER.
WHEREAS, The citizens of Jefferson County passed
an Open Space Resolution on November 7, 1972; and
WHEREAS, the citizens amended said Resolution on
November 4, 1980 to allow for maintenance and development of
Open Space lands and property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge wishes to construct
a parking lot at the Wheat Ridge Senior Center, located at 6363
W. 35th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, this park ~s used for Parks and Recreation
purposes; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of
Wheat Ridge to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement which
is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Horne Rule Charter of
the city of Wheat Ridge authorized the City of Wheat Ridge, by
Resolution, to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge, that the Intergovernmental Agreement
entitled Request for Payment and Certification of Use of Funds,
attached to this Resolution be approved, and the Mayor be
authorized to sign said Intergovernmental Agreement.

REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND
CERTIFICATION OF EXPENDITURES
The City of Wheat Ridge hereby requests from the Board of
county commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Colorado, re-
imbursement from the Jefferson County Open Space fund in the
amount of Thirty-six thousand six hundred and ninety one dollars
and sixty-eight cents ($36,691.68), payable 100% from its
attributable share of Open Space funds, but not to exceed the
present balance of its attributable share.
This request constitutes a certification by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge to the Board of County commissioners
of Jefferson County that the City of Wheat Ridge has expended
this sum during the period commencing January 1, 1985 and ending
September 16, 1985 for purposes which are authorized by the
Jefferson County Open Space Resolution as adopted by the voters
on November 7, 1972 and amended on wovember 4, 1980. The
expenditures which the City of Wheat Ridge has made during the
above period were in the following amounts and for the following
purposes:
1. Administration of Open Space $
2. Planning for Open Space $
3. Acquisition of Open Space $
4. Development of access to $
Open Space
5. Development of paths and $
trails on Open Space
6. Construction of public $
trails
7. Preservation and maintenance $
of Open Space
8. Protection of Open Space $
9. Construction, acquisition, $ 36,691.68
and maintenance of capital
improvements
TOTAL $ 36,691.68

In accordance with the Jefferson County Open Space Resolution,
the County or its designated representative may, if it so desires,
audit the work papers and audit utilized by the City of Wheat Ridge
to prepare this certification and request. This certification and
request has been duly authorized by Resolution adopted by the City

from Open Space
Council on September 23, 1985, a copy of which is attached, by which
the City of Wheat Ridge certifies to the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County that the City of Wheat Ridge has expended funds
specified herein only for the purposes stated and authorizes the
Mayor to sign this request for reimbursement and certification of
expenditures.
This certification also certifies to the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County that the facilities, programs,
projects or land acquisitions upon which the funds will be or have
been expended shall be open to the general public and the use thereof
shall not be restircted solely to the persons who reside within the
City.
