TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A YEAR 2010-PLANNED
UHBANIZiHION A.REA (PUA) MAP TO THE DENVER REGIONAL COUiJCIL OF
G 0 V ERN t1 E N T S
\J:lt.REA':;, the Denver Regional Council of :';overnments has re..).uested all
units of local government within the D.R.C.O.G. region to submit a Year
2010 PUA Map which illustrates areas for which urban ~rowth and
development is anticipated by the year 2010; and
IHI ERE A:';, the Den v erR e g i CHI a 1 Co u n c i 1 0 f Go v ern men t s has pro v ide d
specific criteria and standards to be used and applied in developin~
Planned UrbaniLation Areas; and
\,HE;jCAS, the City of ,Jheat Rio,se has utilized those criteria and
standards in developing a Year 2010 Planned Urbanization Area Nap for
the City of '''heat Ridge which includes areas bot" within the current
corporate boundaries, as well as unincorporated areas of Jefferson
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVt.D by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, that the attached Year 2010 Planned Urbanization Area Map
represents the future policy of the City of Wheat Ridge with regard to
urban growth and development through the year 2010, as defined by the
DRCOG-PUA criteria; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such PUA Map, together with additional
documentation, be submitted to the Denver Regional Council of
Governments in co~pliance with their request for such information.
