TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE CITY
OF WHEAT RIDGE'S ATTRIBUTABLE SHARE OF THE JEFFERSON
COUNTY OPEN SPACE FUND FOR PARKS AND OPEN SPACE
DEVELOpr.1ENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has expended General
Funds for the construction, acquisition and maintenance of parks
and open space projects in 1986 and 1987,
WHEREAS, trre voters of Jefferson County voted on
November 4, 1980 to allow expenditures for the construction and
maintenance of parks and open space,
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge voted on Apr i I 13,
1987 to al low expenditures for the construction and maintenance
of parks and open space as per attached addendum,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Wheat
Ridge that the Jefferson County Open Space officials process the
request for reimbursement for the approved construction,
acquisition and maintenance projects and costs on park property
appraisals.

REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND
CERTIFICATION OF EXPENDITURES
The City of Wheat Ridge hereby requests fr n the Board of
County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Colorado,
reimbursement from the Jefferson County Open Space fund in the
amount of, Fifteen Thousand Eiqhty-Five dollars and Seventy-Two
Cents ($15,085.72), payable 100% from the City of Wheat Ridge's
attributable share of Open Space funds, but not to exceed the
present balance of its attributable share.
This request constitutes a certification by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge to the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County that the City of Wheat Ridge has expended

this sum during the period commencing November 1986 and endlng
March 1987 for purposes which are authorized by the Jefferson
County Open Space Resolution as adopted by the voters on November
7, 1972 and amended on November 4, 1980 and are fully described
as an addendum to this certification. The expenditures which the
City of Wheat Ridge has made during the above period were in the
following amounts and for the following purposes:

Request for Reimbursement
from Open Space
In accordance with the Jefferson County Open Space
Resolution, the County or Its designated representative may, if
it so desires, audit the work papers utilized by the City of
Wheat Ridge to prepare this certification and request. This
certification and request has been duly authorized by Resolution
t! adopted by the City Counci I on Apri I 13, 1987. The Wheat
Ridge City Council certifies to the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County that the City of Wheat Ridge has expended
funds specified herein only for the purposes stated and
authorizes the Mayor ~o sign this request for reimbursement and
certification of expenditures.
This certification also certifies to the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County that the faci I ities, programs,
projects or land acquisitions upon which the funds wil I be or
have been expended sha II be open to the genera I pub lie and the
use thereof shal I not be restricted solely to the persons who
reside within the City.

REQUEST FOR PAYMENT AND
CERTIFICATION OF USE OF FUNDS
The City of Wheat Ridge hereby requests from the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Colorado, payment
from the Jefferson County Open Space fund in the amount of Sixty-
Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Seven dollars and no/100 cents
($60,377.00), payable 100% from funds received subsequent to
January I, 1981 and 100% from Its attributable share of Open
Space funds, but not to exceed the present portion of its
attributable share received subsequent to January 1, 1981.
This request constitutes a certification by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge to the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County that the City of Wheat Ridge has expended
this sum during the period commencing February 1987 and ending
March 1987 for purposes which are authorized by the Jefferson
County Open Space Resolution as adopted by the voters on November
7, 1972 and amended on November 4, 1980 and are fully described
as an addendum to this certification. The expenditures which the
City of Wheat Ridge has made during the above period were in the

Request for Payment
Open Space Fund
The monies received pursuant to this certification shal I be
placed in a separate interest bearing account.
In the event the total cost of the contract work is less than
specified above, the City of Wheat Ridge wil J refund the
unexpended funds plus any interest earned on the project money to
Jefferson County within 30 days after completion of the project
to be credited to the City of Wheat Ridge attributable share
account of the Jefferson County Open Space Fund unless the
Department of the Director of Open Space receIves a request, In
writing, from the City to expend the funds.
Within 30 days of completion of the project the City wil I provide
Jefferson County with:
1. Itemized I ist of the projects completed and final costs.
2. An accounting of the monies received while the Open
Space money was on deposit.
3. Return to Jefferson County all interest earned in the
Open Space money received prior to final payment of the
contract unless otherwise provided for in writing.
In accordance with the Jefferson County Open Space Resolution,
the County, or its designated representative, may, If it so
desires, audit the work papers and audit uti I ized by the City of
Wheat Ridge to determine the final cost under the contract.
This certification and request has been duly authorized by
Resolution adopted by the Wheat Ridge City Counci I on _AwdUL~~__
__________, 19~1, a copy of which is attached, by which the City
Counci I certifies to the Bourd of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County that the Open Space funds specified herein wi I I
be expended only for the purposes stated and authorizes the Mayor
to sign this Request for Payment and Certification of Use of
Funds.
This certification also certifies to the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County that the facll ities, programs,
projects or land acquisitions upon which the funds wil I be or
have been expended shall be open to the general publ ic and the
use thereof shal I not be restricted solely to the persons who
reside within the city.
