TI'rLE:
A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO SECTION 14.2 OF THE WHEAT
RIDGE HO~E RULE CHARTER APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WHENr RIDGE AND THE WHENr
RIDGE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT RELATING TO PROVISION OF
AMBULANCE SERVICES '1'0 RESIDENTS OF THE CI'l'Y OF WHEA'T
RIDGE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK 'ro SIGN
SAID INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge owns two ambulances, which
ambulances are provided by the City to the Wheat Ridge Fire
Protection District, an independent quasi-municipal corporation,
for the purpose of providing ambulance and EMS services;
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge and the District have
agreed upon the terms and conditions of use of said ambulances by
the District;
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Horne Rule Charter of the City
of Wheat Ridge provides that contracts or agreements with other
governmental units or special districts are required to be
approved by resolution or ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
1. The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of
Wheat Ridge and the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District which is
attached hereto is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute
said Agreement.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 24th day of August, 1987.
