TITLE:
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROPOSED FAMILY ADOLESCENT CRISIS TEAM
(FACT)
WHEREAS, a proposed new program under Senate Bill 26 called
Family/Adolescent Crisis team is being offered to the various
police jurisdictions as a possible help in dealing with juvenile/
family type crises; and
h'HEREAS, this program is being developed in conjunction
with the Children's Adolescent Team of the Police Chief's Associ-
ation, Jefferson County Mental Health, Jefferson County Department
of Social Services, the Community Corrections' Children's Task Force
and the Jefferson County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, financial as well as a commitment by the various
ciLies in defraying the local costs of the operation of this program
are needed; and
WHEREAS, the City of h'heat Ridge's suggested contribution to
the program is $2,994; and
h'HEREAS, this program is a cost effective way of providing
needed services to the citi7ens of the City of Wheat Ridge;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, that the City of Wheat Ridge supports and
approves of the proposed Family Adolescent Crisis Team (FACT),
and authorizes a suggested contribution of $2,994 in the event
the Family Adolescent Crisis Team (FACT) is formulated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the City of Wheat
Ridge shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Board of
CounLy Commissioners of Jefferson County.
DONE AND RESOLVED on this 14th day of September, 1987.
