TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE
JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE OFFICIALS REQUESTING A
JOINT VENTURE FUNDING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
PARAMOUNT PARK, 27TH AVENUE AND KIPLING STREET, IN
WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Open Space has made
available joint venture funds for development purposes; and
WHEREAS, Paramount Park has provided parks and open
space to the citizens within the City for over 30 years; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to proceed with the
redevelopment of this park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has the opportunity
to enter into a joint venture agreement with Jefferson County Open
Space for partial funding for the redevelopment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge, that the Staff of the Department of
Parks and Recreation be authorized to submit the joint venture
application to the Jefferson County Open Space Officials for the
redevelopment of Paramount Park.
