TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE TO ENTER
INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF
COLORADO, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
DIVISION, FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE FUNDS
WHEREAS, The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division of the State
of Colorado, has offered to provide funds for an alcohol and drug
student awareness program; and
WHEREAS, prevention programs to reduce the abuse of
alcohol and drugs among high risk youth within the City of Wheat
Ridge is one of the priority issues of the City; and
WHEREAS, funds for reimbursement by the State of Colorado
need to be appropriated by the City from the Unallocated Account
of the City's 1988 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, that:
1) $10,000 from Account 01-607-795 be transferred to
Account 01-109-799, to initiate a reimbursement
account for the purpose of providing services set
forth in the Intergovernmental Agreement referred to
hereinabove; and
2) The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the contract
documents required by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse
Division of the State of Colorado to implement this
program.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 22nd
day of August, 1988.
