RESOLUT I ON NO. 1107
SERIES OF 1988
T I HE:
RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CULTURAL FACILITIES DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the arts and cultural institutions of the Denver
metropolitan area are important to the quality of I ife of all our
citizens.
WHEREAS, the economy is directly benefited from arts and
culture through Increased tourism, employment and cultural spending.
WHEREAS, the attraction of new business and the retention
of existing business are enhanced by quality cultural Institutions.
WHEREAS, the entire region benefits from the whole range of
our cu Itural fac! lities.
WHEREAS, national, state and local government financial
support for cultural Institutions has been decreasing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Counci I of the
City of Wheat Ridge endorses passage of the Cultural Faci I itles
District at the General Election of November 1988.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Councl I of the City of
Wheat Ridge wi I I assist In its passage In every appropriate manner and
wi I I encourage its staff and the citizens of Wheat Ridge to provide
support.
