HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1988-1114 RESOLUTION NO. 1114 TITLE: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF GRANT FUNDING FROM THE STATE OF COLORADO, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHHAYS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAY SAFETY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Division of Highway Safety has offered to provide grant funding for establishing a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program within the City of Wheat Ridge Police Department for the fiscal year 1989; and, WHEREAS, implementation of the S.T.E.P. program to reduce the numbers of traffic accidents occurring within the City of Wheat Ridge is one of the priority issues of the City; and, WHEREAS, funds for the City's matching share of the program funding have been allocated in the 1989 budget. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE THAT, The grant for the S.T.E.P. program is hereby accepted and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign all contract documents required by the Division of Highway Safety to implement this program.
