TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO OPEN A BANK
ACCOUNT FOR THE PURPOSES DESCRIBED BELOW
WHEREAS, the law permits the courts to seize monies and
other properties from persons involved in certain criminal
activity; and
WHEREAS, the law authorizes the courts to award said
seizures to the police department for the specific purpose of
providing funding for conducting other investigations, and
investigative related expenses; and
WHEREAS, proceeds from court awards and seizures must be
accounted for in a Police Investigations Fund; and
WHEREAS, a separate bank account must be established for
the accounting of the restricted use of designated funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, that the City Treasurer be authorized to
open a new bank account for the purposes described above.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 10th
day of October, 1988.
