TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JEFFERSON COUNTY
OPEN SPACE OFFICIALS TO ACQUIRE A PORTION OF
THE WHEAT RIDGE LUMBER COMPANY PROPERTY, 8995
WEST 44TH AVENUE, CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY
FOUR (4) ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED IN
WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, a portion of the Wheat Ridge Lumber Company
Property, located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, consisting of
approximately four (4) acres, more or less, has been offered for
sale to the City of Wheat Ridge by the owner; and
WHEREAS, this property is located in an area of Wheat
Ridge where the Parks and Open Space Plan recommends that additional
land be acquired; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has sufficient funds
in its share of the Jefferson County Open Space fund to acquire this
parcel of land; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Wheat Ridge, that the Jefferson County Open Space
officials be hereby authorized and requested to acquire the Wheat
Ridge Lumber Company property as referenced in this Resolution.
