SERIES OF 1988
TITLE:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT
RIDGE, COLORADO, REGARDING MODIFICATIONS OF THE KIPLING
ACTIVITY CENTER URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND FINDING AND
DECLARING THAT SUCH PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS CONSTITUTE A
SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE TO THE PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Economic Development and Revitalization
Commission has submitted to the City Council a request that the
Council rescind the Kipling Activity Center Urban Renewal Plan,
which proposal is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by staff and consultants,
and has determined that the rescission of the Kipling Activity
Center Urban Renewal Plan constitutes a substantial change in
land area and procedure to the Plan, as provided in Part 1,
Article 25, Title 31, Colorado Revised Statutes, (the Urban
Renewal Law); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Urban Renewal Law, the proposed
modifications shall be submitted to the Wheat Ridge Planning
Commission for a determination as to whether such modification
and rescission are in compliance with the City's Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT:
1. The rescission proposed by the Commissioners of the Economic
Development and Revitalization Commission substantially
changes the Kipling Activity Center Urban Renewal Plan.
2. The Planning Commission shall review the proposed modifica-
tions for a determination as to conformance with the City of
Wheat Ridge Master Plan.
3. A public hearing shall be held before the City Council
regarding such modifications on the 12th day of December,
1988 at 7:30 p.m., or as soon therafter as the matter may be
heard, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building,
7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
4. Notice of such hearing shall be provided in accordance with
the Colorado Urban Renewal Law.
