TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZJNG AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
WI'I'H THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD FOR 'l'HE OVERLlIY OF A PORTION
OF YOUNGFIELD STREET SOUTH OF 32ND AVENUE
WHERElIS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of Wheat
Ridge provides express authority to enter into intergovernmental
agreements providing for cooperative efforts between governments;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is doing an asphalt overlay on
Youngfield Street from Colfax to the Wheat Ridge City boundary;
and
WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation the City of Lakewood
has offered to extend that project into the City of Wheat Ridge;
and
WHEREAS, jn order to insure that the overlay costs for the
portion of Youngfield Street belonging to the City of Wheat Ridge
are reimbursed to the City of Lakewood, it is necessary to enter
into an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Lakewood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
Sec. 1. The Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge is hereby
authorized to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement with the
City of Lakewood for paving Youngfield Street south of 32nd
Avenue to the City boundary which belongs to the City of Wheat
Ridge.
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 27th day of February, 1989.
