RESOLUTION NO. 1160
SERIES OF 1989
TITLE:
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CITY
OF WHEAT RIDGE MONEY PURCHASE PENSION PLAN FOR DESIGNATED
POLICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the city of Wheat Ridge, acting pursuant to the
provisions of Section 19-51 et seq. of the Code of Laws of the City
of Wheat Ridge, has adopted the Wheat Ridge Police Pension Plan,
which is a "Money Purchase Plan";
WHEREAS, the members of the Wheat Ridge Police Pension Plan,
acting pursuant to the provisions of Section 19-52(e) of the Code
of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge, have approved a first amendment
to said plan by the affirmative vote of 52 of the 56 members
eligible to vote as to said amendment;
WHEREAS, the provisions of section 19-52(e) of the Code of
Laws of the city of Wheat Ridge require the City council of the
City of Wheat Ridge to approve said amendment after adoption
thereof by the members of the Plan before said amendment may become
effective;
WHEREAS, said "First Amendment to the City of Wheat Ridge
Money Purchase Pension Plan for Designated Police Department
Employees" is attached hereto and expressly incorporated herein;
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge to approve the Amendment to said Plan as adopted by the
members eligible to participate in said Plan;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city
of Wheat Ridge, that
The "First Amendment to the City of Wheat Ridge Money Purchase
Pension Plan for Designated Police Department Employees" which is
attached hereto and expressly incorporated herein is hereby
ratified and affirmed by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 28th day of August, 1989.
