TITLE: RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION OF RAY E.
VALENTE AND VIOLA VALENTE-GILLESPIE
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge wishes to recognize
outstanding efforts and generosity of Ray E. Valente and Viola
Valente-Gillespie for their assistance and contribution to the
Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the profits from the Italian Dinner each year
provided and served by Ray and Viola have amounted in the past
eight years (1982 - 1989) to an impressive $19,405.65; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee also
extends its gratitude and continued support of Ray and Viola; and
WHEREAS, with this financial assistance the Senior Center
can provide our senior citizens the benefits of good fellowship,
encouragement and support, the opportunity to help themselves and
each other, and offer service of access to community services as
needed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that commendation and appreciation are hereby
awarded, and sincere gratitude extended for the efforts and
generosity of RAY E. VALENTE and VIOLA VALENTE-GILLESPIE.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 13th day of November, 1989.
