RESOLUTION NO. 1178
Series of 1989
TITLE: A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE YEAR
1989, TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY
OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, FOR THE 1990 BUDGET YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge will
adopt the annual budget in accordance with the Local Government
Budget Law, prior to December 31, 1989 and;
WHEREAS, the amount of money necessary to balance the
budget for general operating expenses is $568,301, and;
WHEREAS, the 1989 valuation for assessment for the City of
Wheat Ridge as certified by the County Assessor is $235,029,320.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY TBE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO:
A. That the purpose of meeting all general operating
exoenses of the City of Wheat Ridge during the 1990 budget year,
there is hereby levied a tax of 2.418 mills upon each dollar of
the total valuation for assessment of all taxable property within
the City for the year 1989.
B. That the Mayor of the City of ~heat Ridge is hereby
authorized and directed to immediately certify to the County
Commissioners of Jefferson County, Colorado, the mill levy for
the City of \,'!heat Ridge as hereinabove determined and set.
