RESOLUTION NO. 1183
TITLE: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF GRANT FUtIDING FROM THE STATE
OF COLORADO, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAY SAFETY
FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the DIvision of Highway safety has offered to provIde
grant funding for establ ishmg a selective Traffic Enforcement program
wi min the CIty of ,-Jheat Ridge pol ice Ilepartrent for the fIscal year
1990; and,
WHEREAS, Imple~entatlon ot tne S.T.E.P. progr&~ to reduce tne
numoers of traffic accidents occurrIng wi thin the City of .-Jheat Ridge
is one of the pnon ty 1ssues of the City; and,
WHEREAS, funds for the City's matchmg share of the program
funding have been allocated in the 1990 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF wl1EAT RIDGE THAT,
Tne grant for the S.T.E.P. progr&u 1S hereoy accepted and the
Mayor is hereoy authorized to sign all contract docwnents required by
the Division of Highway Safety to implement this progr&~.
