TITLE:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE
SETTING FORTH THE CITY COUNCIL'S INTENTION TO
AUTHORIZE CREDIT CARD PURCHASING
WHEREAS, a credit card purchasing program can provide
tangible benefits and cost savings to the City of Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREAS, a credit card purchasing program can help to
enhance the services provided to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, City Council authorization as the governing body
of the City of Wheat Ridge is required to establish agreements with
one or more issuers of credit cards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Wheat ridge as follows:
1) The City Administrator or his designee is authorized to enter
into an agreement with one or more credit card issuers to provide
credit card services for the city of Wheat Ridge.
2) A credit card purchasing program for small purchases and travel
expenses shall be established and monitored by the Purchasing
Division.
3) All subsequent authorizations of credit cards for use by the
City of Wheat Ridge shall only be through the office of the City
Administrator.
4) Appropriate rules and procedures shall be established for use of
the credit cards in accordance with all the existing rules and
procedures of the City.
