TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
BY THE WHEAT RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL PTSA, TO POST
SIGNS EXEMPT FROM REGULATION ADVERTISING THE FARMERS
5000 5K RACE
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge High School PTSA, a Colorado
not-for-profit corporation, being a civic organization, intends to
hold the Farmers 5000 5K Race; and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge High School PTSA, Farmers 5000
5K Race, being a city-wide civic event, may be advertised by signs
which are exempted from permit requirements under section 26-407 of
the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, to
aid in promoting the city-wide civic activities sponsored by the by
the Wheat Ridge High School PTSA, wish to allow the use of the
public right-of-way for the purpose of erecting those signs
announcing the time and place of the Farmers 5000 5K Race.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, that authority is hereby granted to the Wheat
Ridge High School PTSA, to erect those signs exempt under section
26-407 of the Code of Laws of the city of Wheat Ridge, for the
purpose of announcing the Farmers 5000 5K Race, provided that all
requirements of Article IV of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat
Ridge otherwise applicable to said signs are complied with, and
further provided that said signs are removed from the public right-
Of-way no later than September 14, 1994.
DONE AND RESOLVED on this 22nd
day of August, 1994.
