TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN
SPACE DEPARTMENT TO SECURE AN APPRAISAL, NEGOTIATE
FOR AND ACQUIRE 3 INCHES OF DITCH RIGHTS IN THE LEE
AND BAUGH DITCHi TWO INCHES FROM JOY WILLIAMS AT
11460 W. 44TH AVENUE AND ONE INCH FROM DENNIS
HOEFER OF 11722 W. 44TH AVENUE.
WHEREAS, The city of Wheat Ridge has needs for additional
water rights to irrigate park land around Prospect Parki and
WHEREAS, the Lee and Baugh Ditch flows into Prospect Parki and
WHEREAS, Joy Williams of 11460 W. 44th Avenue owns 2 inches of
ditch rights and Dennis Hoefer of 11722 W. 44th Avenue owns one
inch of ditch rights, both in the Lee and Baughi and
WHEREAS, Joy Williams and Dennis Hoefer desire to sell their
water rights in the Lee and Baugh ditch to the City of Wheat Ridge.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE CITY
COUNCIL THAT:
The Jefferson County Open Space department be authorized to secure
an appraisal, negotiate for and acquire three inches of Lee and
Baugh ditch rights, two inches from Joy Williams of 11460 W. 44th
Avenue and one inch from Dennis Hoefer of 11722 W. 44th Avenue one
hundred percent from the City of Wheat Ridge share of the Jefferson
County Open Space Fund.
