TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF WRIGHT COURT
WHEREAS, citizens of the immediate area have continuously complained of traffic
coming or going to Applewood Shopping Center and using Wright Court as overflow
parking; and
WHEREAS, no property would be denied reasonable access to public streets
should Wright Court be closed to traffic at its' intersection with West 38th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, permanent easements to allow turnarounds have been secured from
property owners adjacent to the proposed closure;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Wheat Ridge authorizes
closure of Wright Court at the intersection with West 38th Avenue. Such closure is
intended to prohibit regular vehicular travel between West 38th Avenue and Wright Court,
however, pedestrian access shall be maintained. Furthermore, said closure shall be
aesthetically designed with landscaping and a screening fence.
