RESOLUTION NO. 1438

TITLE:
A RESOLUTION REGARDING 52ND AVENUE
WHEREAS, a major subdivision comprising in excess of 600 homes
has been proposed for development in the city of Arvadai and
WHEREAS, an option for directing traffic from said subdivision
to the west is a connection from said subdivision to 52nd Avenuei
and
WHEREAS, a neighborhood meeting was conducted on Tuesday,
November 22, 1994, at the Wheat Ridge City Hall at which both Wheat
Ridge and Arvada residents were presenti and
WHEREAS, at the November 22, 1994 neighborhood meeting, there
was a clear expression of concern from both Wheat Ridge and Arvada
residents that a connection to the proposed Arvada subdivision for
westerly traffic not be made at West 52nd Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council
that, in light of the expressed concerns of both Wheat Ridge and
Arvada residents within the affected area and land use and current
development patterns in the area, that the proposed connection at
West 52nd Avenue for the subdivision currently under review in the
City of Arvada, not be pursuedi and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Arvada be officially
advised of the position of the City of Wheat Ridge and the concerns
expressed regarding the connection of the proposed subdivision and
West 52nd Avenue.
