TITLE :
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO SIGN THE CONTRACT ACCEPTING THE YOUTH CRIME
PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$6,850 AND TO AMEND THE REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES
IN THE 1996 BUDGET BY $6,850.
WHEREAS, The City of Wheat Ridge has budgeted and will
provide a Middle School Sports Program in 1996; and
WHEREAS, The Middle School Sports Program has a need
for additional coaches and referees; and
WHEREAS, The State of Colorado Youth Crime Prevention
and Intervention 1995 Program has awarded an grant to the
City of Wheat Ridge in the amount of $6,850 to recruit and
train high school students to be coaches and referees for
the Middle School Sports Program in the City of Wheat Ridge,
the City of Lakewood, and the Foothills Park and Recreation
District; and
WHEREAS, The City of Wheat Ridge will administer the
Youth Crime Prevention and Intervention Grant;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE THAT:
1) The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge be
authorized to sign the contract accepting the State of
Colorado Youth Crime Prevention and Intervention Grant
in the amount of $6,850.
2) The 1996 General Fund Budget be amended to increase
revenues by $6,850 and to increase the Recreation Budget
expenditures by $6,850 for the Youth Crime Prevention and
Intervention Grant.
