CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 1506
SERIES OF 1995
TITLE: A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE RTD BOARD CONSIDER
FUNDING AN INCREASE IN BUS SERVICE ALONG THE WADSWORTH
CORRIDOR.
WHEREAS, the CIty Council of Wheat RIdge, Colorado has an Interest in findIng
ways to decrease the number of auto tnps per day on our city streets. and
WHEREAS, the current walt for a bus along the Wadsworth COrrIdor IS one-half
hour; and
WHEREAS, the cIty of Wheat RIdge IS served by several ease-west RTD routes that
connect WIth the Wadsworth routes, and
WHEREAS, additional servIce along the heaVIly traveled Wadsworth Boulevard
would make commutIng and travel for shopping more convement for the resIdents of Wheat
Ridge and the whole of JetTerson County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the CIty of Wheat
RIdge
THA T the City CouncIl of the CIty of Wheat RIdge does hereby request that RTD
conSIder fundIng for addItional bus servIce to the Wadsworth COrrIdor that would at the
mInImum double the current servIce.
